DESPERATELY SEEKING MEN FOR OPEN CAST CALL FOR TAMING OF THE SHREW

A Small Company In America, theatre-in-residence at NYIT Old Westbury, is holding an open cast call for Shakespeare‘s Taming of the Shrew. Roles to be cast are men only (25-60) for the roles of Petruchio, Vincentio, Gremio, Hortensio and various servants and casting is non-traditional.

The audition dates are as follows: Open Auditions on Saturday June 6 and Weds June 9 and by appointment. Auditioners should come with (a) resumes; (b) headshots if you have them; and (c) a prepared comic speech or scene. Be ready to read from the script as well—director's choice. This production will be presented in ASCIA’s home in the New York Institute of Technology’s Old Westbury Campus. The theater is located in Salten Hall. Easily accessible, the campus is on Northern Blvd. (East of Glen Cove Road and West of Route 107) The production dates are in August starting August 8 and running through August 29, 2009.
